Kelli Garza Corcoran is the owner of Great Expectations, better known as GE. Her love of animals and competition started in her youth with competitive horse judging to the National ranks as both a competitor and coach. She also showed horses in 4-H and AQHA halter, showmanship, western pleasure and horsemanship as well as yearling and 2 year old futurities. As a young adult she continued with horses and added AKC conformation to her list of successful hobbies. She started with Chesapeake Bay Retrievers in AKC conformation as well as hunt tests, some being champion pointed and completing junior and senior hunter titles. Competing in field events is where she met her husband of now 4 years Bill Corcoran.
Kelli has been competiting with retriever since 2002 and professionally training retrievers since 2004. She has completed junior, senior and master hunter titles as well as earned points in the AKC show ring and titling CH dogs in UKC. She has qualified dogs for the AKC master national and has earned qualified all-age status on her personal dog, Bullet. Her passion is in giving puppies the start they need to be a successful retriever in the field at any level. Her development program is customized for each individual puppy or young adult. Not all puppies are created equal so here you will not find that one size fits all!

Bill Corcoran, previously owned Heritage Kennels, has 20 years experience training dogs for bomb and narcotics detection, search and rescue and AKC hunt tests. He also developed the K-9 training division of the police department in which he served for 13 years. His accomplishments are significant in every venue and they have earned him the respect of AKC judges and fellow trainers alike. With his diverse background in animal behavior he specialized in the 'problem dog'. Many going on to complete AKC Master Hunter titles! He truly loves dogs and understands how they communicate making the learning process clear and anything but cookie cutter. Bill retired from professionally training competition retrievers full time, yet still accepts a very small number of hi-quality retrievers for training throughout the year.
